In 1990, Carol entered the exciting field of Interior Design. By 1995, she opened her free-lance design studio, “Designs of the Times.”
As her business grew, Carol was blessed with many opportunities to share her knowledge and talent in design with local, regional, and out-of-state clientele.
The angel in the second business card is representative of the very popular faux finishes
and custom mural work that were part of the design business for over 20 years.
Moving from a studio in her home, she and her husband, Dennis, opened “Carol Smits & Company, Interiors on Madison” in 2018. This new brick and mortar location at 820 Madison St., Little Chute, WI offers a full-service design center specializing in Home and Business Interior Design,
New Construction, Remodels, Space Planning and all the finishing touches.
From the one woman start up company, the business has grown to a talented staff of designers and support personnel.
This growth has allowed Interiors on Madison to now offer furniture, rugs and accessories, along with our original offerings of custom window treatments and drapery.
With all our premier offerings, Carol Smits & Company has also become known as an innovative design resource for Kitchen and Bath Design throughout the Fox Cities and beyond.
